This beautiful tribute to close women friends, sent to me by one of my close woman friends. really touched me.
As women, our friendships are so important to our well being. Female friendships tend to evolve over the years as we evolve. I remember the friendships of junior high and high school as being memorable more for their conflict than for their support. Jealousy, plotting, backstabbing and jockeying for position seemed to be the order of the day throughout most of those years.
Time passes. We get a little older, and a little wiser and hopefully stop seeing each other as competition. That transformation opens us up to forming the lasting friendships that carry us and support us throughout our lives.
We love our men but there is nothing like the support and love that comes from a close group of female friends!
