Good Reading

(near Duane, NY)

Carnivals -

Holiday Side Dishes appears in this week’s Make it From Scratch Carnival at The Daily Dish. The Y2K Hippie had a recipe for homemade fortune cookies. How fun is that?! A great project for kids and I can think of some fun party applications as well. I’m saving this one!

Rural Healthcare appears in the Healthbolt Carnival. I’ve been reading a lot lately about how multi-tasking means you don’t do anything well. Sharp Brains has an article on this subject that asks, “Memory Problems? Perhaps you are multi-tasking”. Unfortunately, I don’t think doing less will help my memory problems!

Other good reading -

This past week I have read a lot of posts reflecting on the outcome of the election, both positive and negative. The best one comes from Brip Blap, who posts on “What Has Changed in Personal Finance”. Simple and without hyperbole, it neither bashes nor exaults our president elect. It’s an excellent article.

The Frugal Duchess posted an excellent article relating,” What Obama Taught Me About Personal Finance”. I want to believe! The Duchess reminded me of a few highlights from the campaign.

I read this article at Ecolsalon. If it’s true, this is the most disturbing thing I’ve read in a long time.

Divine Caroline has a post on The 20 Healthiest Foods for Under $1 that I found timely and a good read. I’m happy to say I eat most of them! I found this article at PFBuzz, which is a good place to find some new reads.

Have a great weekend!

Hey Tina, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I took those pictures on my recent trip to upstate New York. First time to see fall leaves in many years!
